Was promoted into this position, which was created especially for me. Researched with salespeople and customers the feasibility of creating FOCUS application environments for a variety of platforms. Wrote a business plan analyzing new markets that advocated the creation of six new divisions; senior management approved the plan. Interviewed and hired the heads of the divisions, which grew to generate $15 million in annual revenue within two years.

Co-founded this division. Headed the development of FOCUS for Unix platforms. Completed project and brought the product to market on time and under budget. Created a language translation program that reduced the development time for a line of application development environments called FOCUS from approximately 15 man-years to weeks, which made it practical for the company to pursue smaller markets profitably.
